Intended Use

Intended Use Statement

attest is an informational clinical reference and documentation tool for licensed clinicians. It supports, and does not replace, independent clinical judgment.

What attest is for

attest is an informational clinical reference and documentation tool for licensed clinicians. It is designed to support, and does not replace, the independent judgment of the clinician using it. Every output is a draft that a qualified clinician must review before it is relied upon.

Data that may be used

attest is intended for de-identified, synthetic, or hypothetical data. It must not be used with patient identifiers or Protected Health Information. Clinicians are responsible for ensuring that the information they enter contains no patient identifiers or PHI unless a separate, signed institutional agreement expressly permits it.

What attest is not for

attest is not intended for diagnosis or treatment without clinician review. It is not for emergency or time-critical decisions, and it is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional clinical evaluation, examination, or care.

Clinician responsibility

Clinicians are responsible for verifying all output against primary sources. The clinician using attest remains fully responsible for any clinical decision, documentation, or action taken, and for confirming that every output is accurate, current, and appropriate for the specific patient and context.
